Why Coffee Prices Are at Record Highs – But No One’s Talking About It

For us, a small coffee business based in West Wales, these rising costs have been a significant challenge. We’ve been in the coffee industry for over 20 years, supplying coffee to cafés and homes across the UK. Freshness and quality have always been at the heart of what we do, roasting coffee fresh every weekday to deliver the best possible flavor.
Recently, we took on a café in Carmarthen from a long-time customer and have continued to help it develop as part of our business. It’s been an exciting opportunity to connect directly with our local community and share our passion for coffee face to face.
We’ve worked hard to absorb as much of the rising costs as possible by optimizing our processes and finding ways to reduce waste without compromising on quality. But there comes a point where no amount of efficiency can offset such extreme price increases, especially when they’re this unprecedented.
Changes to Our Popular Variety Pack
One of the ways we’ve provided great value is through our Variety Pack, which currently offers four different coffees for £19.95. However, due to the ongoing surge in coffee prices, we’ll soon be adjusting this to a three-coffee variety pack to ensure we can continue to offer fresh, high-quality coffee without compromise.
The good news is that you still have time to grab the four-coffee pack at £19.95 before we make the change!
Why Are Coffee Prices Rising So Fast?
Several key factors have contributed to this surge:
- Extreme Weather: Brazil, the world’s largest coffee producer, has been hit by severe droughts and frosts, causing significant crop losses.
- Global Supply Chain Disruptions: Increased shipping costs and logistical delays have added pressure to the supply chain.
- Rising Production Costs: Coffee farmers are facing higher costs for essentials like labor, fertilizer, and energy, which inevitably impact prices across the entire supply chain.
- Increased demand globally and from internal markets.
What You Can Do
- Take Advantage Now: Grab the four-coffee variety pack while it’s still available at £19.95!
